GHS Silver Medal Designation

Glenwood High School has again earned the Silver Medal designation by U.S. News and World Report! U.S. News just released its fifth edition of the Best High Schools rankings, and Glenwood High School is shown ranked 49th in the state and 1335th in the nation, earning it a silver medal designation. Hats off to all those who helped make it happen - from parents, teachers PreK-12, support staff, admin, etc. and most importantly our students!

Online Registration Begins in July
Mark your calendars! Online registration for all Ball-Chatham schools will be held July 16-31. Walk-in registration is scheduled for August 1, from 3 to 6 p.m. at all schools, except Ball Elementary, which will hold its walk-in registration at GIS due to construction. Further details regarding online registration will be released closer to July.

Elementary School Boundaries

Attention parents of unregistered
Kindergarten students and new
students to the District:

The Ball-Chatham Board of Education approved cross-boundary transport to either Ball or Chatham Elementary for the 2013-14 school year only for students in over-capacity grade levels at Glenwood Elementary School. Once construction is complete at that school, all students who reside in the Glenwood Elementary School boundaries will attend GES. Until then, a waiting list is being developed. If availability opens up through the summer, families will be immediately notified by Asst. Supt. Jill Larson.

As of May 7, 2013: (This will be updated regularly)
  • Kindergarten – Waiting List
  • 1st grade – No Waiting List
  • 2nd grade – No Waiting List
  • 3rd grade – No Waiting List
  • 4th grade – Waiting List

For further information or clarification, please email Mrs. Jill Larson at jlarson@chathamschools.org or the District Office at 483-2416.
