About Our School

As one of six schools within the Ball-Chatham School District, Ball Elementary School serves grades Pre-K through 4th. Currently, Ball Elementary has five sections of Kindergarten; four sections of 1st grade, four sections of 2nd grade, five sections of 3rd grade, and four sections of 4th grade.  Regular education classrooms are self-contained with an average of 22 students per classroom. Ball Elementary also serves all Pre-K and Early Childhood programs for the Ball-Chatham School District, which annually enrolls approximately 117 students in five morning, and five afternoon sections. The school’s enrollment for 2022-23 is approximately 607  PreK-4th grade students.

With input from teachers, building administrators place students in classrooms according to their individual needs in order to maximize the potential of each child and to create balanced positive classroom environments. Ball Elementary has special education programs available for all students who qualify for services. Students in the regular education program are provided with support from our special reading teachers when reading assessments indicate interventions are needed to increase reading skills.
