Ball-Chatham Taking Part in STEM Fair on September 11
The Ball-Chatham School District is taking part in the 5th Annual Regional STEM Fair from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday September 11 at Rochester High School. This free regional event is open to students grades K-12, their families, teachers, and school administrators throughout central Illinois.
The Ball-Chatham School District will be demonstrating its 3D Printing and Design STEM curriculum for the 4th grade using Tinkercad. Also, Glenwood High School's eSports Club will be demonstrating the tech required to run a competitive high school eSports team.
In addition, many STEM colleges and careers for Illinois students will be exhibiting at this fair. High school students will get to talk to actual professors and career professionals in STEM majors, not just admissions counselors. Students will learn about scholarships and grants available just for STEM. And they will learn just how good these schools are for their STEM specialties. The following schools are committed to the 2019 STEM Fair:
University of Illinois - Grainger School of Engineering
Illinois State University
Illinois Wesleyan University
Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville
Eastern Illinois University
University of Illinois - Springfield
Lincoln Land Community College
Northern Illinois University
