Camp Invention At-Home Coming August 2-6!
In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame, the Ball-Chatham School District is pleased to offer the nationally-acclaimed Camp Invention At-Home program to children entering grades K-6.
Camp Invention At-Home is different than any virtual learning your child has experienced to date and we hope your child will join us this summer for what promises to be a great adventure developed by the Camp Invention team, and directed by Tim Niemeyer, BCSD Teacher.
This is what you can expect from Camp Invention At-Home:
Engaging, interactive sessions led by one of our own teachers
4+ hours of online collaboration daily
An abundance of quality materials for creating and innovating including these awesome materials:
Battery or wind-propelled racing car
Duck launcher and rubber duck
Innovators workshop display board
Projects that do not require parental support
Daily outdoor experiences (weather permitting)
The team at Camp Invention has piloted this program with families nationwide. Parents and campers have been thrilled with the experience that is so in line with what they expect from Camp Invention. Though it is a virtual camp, the computer is simply an avenue of communication and video sharing; the projects developed by the Camp Invention team continue to be hands-on and collaborative.
