Making Lemonade Out of Lemons!

Titan Fuel Lemonade Stand

This summer has been far from normal for everyone, including Titan Fuel. Titan Fuel is a food assistance program that sends food home with struggling BCSD students to help feed them over weekends and holidays. Typically they only serve students during the school year; but given the financial stress put on many of our families due to the COVID closures, the group has decided to continue their program through the summer. Titan Fuel’s one fundraising event, the Shrimp Boil & BBQ, which is held annually each June was canceled due to Illinois’ health mandates. Even so, Titan Fuel continues to thrive and come up with ways to support our students.

So, Titan Fuel has decided to make LEMONADE out of the LEMONS they have been handed! July will be the month of lemonade stand fundraisers! Titan Fuel, along with the Ball-Chatham School District, are encouraging lemonade stand fundraisers to pop up all over our community. Lemonade stands can be run by organizations or individuals. Please, if you see a stand, take time to thank the organizers of the stand, and enjoy a refreshing glass of lemonade! We are hoping the organizers will notify Titan Fuel through their Facebook page and let everyone know where they can find the stands through daily posts on their page.

If you don’t have the opportunity to visit one of the lemonade stands in person, you can visit their webpage (https://www.titanfuelbcsd.org/support), or run through the Chatham INB bank to make a contribution. We appreciate all of our community support and realize we are all in this together. Titan Fuel continues to be committed to helping our students become the best they can be.

Stay safe, enjoy your summer, and enjoy the LEMONADE!
