Meet GMS' New Administrators!

Two familiar faces in the Ball-Chatham School District have been hired to serve Glenwood Middle School! Mr. Steve Rembusch (pictured on left) has been named Assistant Principal, and Mr. Ryan Green returns on a part-time basis as Athletic Director for GMS. Mr. Green will continue to serve as an Assistant Principal at Glenwood High School as well.

Mr. Steve Rembusch, Assistant Principal - Mr. Rembusch previously served as an Assistant Principal at Chatham Elementary School beginning in 2013. Prior to that, he was an elementary teacher for nine years. He began his career in Eagar, Arizona where he taught fifth grade. From there he came home to Chatham to teach fourth grade and coach varsity football. He has been employed by the District for 12 years, but has been a part of the district since he was in second grade.

Mr. Rembusch graduated from Glenwood High School in 1998, and says he is very excited to continue being a part of such a wonderful district. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education through Eastern Illinois University, and earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership through The American College of Education.

His wife, Holly, is the Assistant Principal at Ball Elementary School. Together they have two daughters, Kaley and Kinsley. In his free time he enjoys fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family. "I look forward to my new position as an Assistant Principal at Glenwood Middle School, and I am very excited for the upcoming school year," he says.

Ryan Green

Ryan Green, Assistant Principal at Glenwood Middle School and Glenwood High School - On July 1, 2019 Mr. Ryan Green began serving as an Assistant Principal at both Glenwood Middle School and Glenwood High School. Mr. Green previously served the Ball-Chatham School District an Assistant Principal at GHS; and prior to that he served as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at GMS.

Mr. Green is a 1997 graduate of Glenwood High School. He went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree at MacMurray College and his Master's in Educational Leadership from the University of Illinois at Springfield.

In 2014, he was named the Region Assistant Principal of the Year, and is also a Nationally Certified Athletic Administrator.

About his profession, he says, “From athletics to academics, my position allows me to work with students in many different ways. I am able to spend time with students to mentor them through the challenging situations that every middle school and high school student experiences. Social media, in my mind, can provide challenges not only for our students, but professionally as well.”

He and his wife, Aimee, have two boys, Camden and Brody. On his own time, he enjoys playing basketball and coaching for his boys’ teams.
