Message for Parents of K-4th Grade Students

Please see the following message from Supt. Dr. Wood:

Dear Ball-Chatham Parents/Guardians:

Since the statewide school closure mandate from Gov. Pritzker was extended to April 7, the District is currently developing new remote learning expectations for our K-12 students, beginning March 31.

All remote learning expectations can be met using devices already in the home, including Chromebooks, tablets, smartphones, laptops and desktops.

However, if your child does not have access to a device at home, please let us know by filling out the form below by Thursday, March 26. We will assign Chromebooks to those students who need them. Please note that you must have wifi in order for Chromebooks to work; and you will be required to sign the District’s technology waiver before taking the Chromebook home.

We will contact those parents/guardians in need of a Chromebook as to the date, place and time of curbside distribution.

Form: K-4 District-Owned Device Request for E-Learning

Sincerely,

Supt. Dr. Wood
