Message from Supt. Dr. Wood Regarding the Passing of Liam Purcell
Our hearts are breaking to learn of the passing of Glenwood Intermediate School student, Liam Purcell. Liam has been a Titan since he started in our Pre-K program several years ago. He was a bright, young man who had a gift for bringing people together through his positive and loving personality. Liam created a climate of togetherness in every class and space he was in. He had the unique ability to bring joy to everyone around him with his infectious smile, welcoming hugs, and high fives. These are only a few of the positive qualities that will be missed by all. He may not have realized how many people he impacted in his life; but we know, and we will never forget him.
His passing will likely have a profound effect on everyone who knew this young man. As such, we will have Glenwood Intermediate School counselor, Keeli Rasche, along with our other school counselors available for any of our students who need to talk with someone. Please call GIS at 483-1183 to set up an individual appointment. Please remember to wear a mask when entering the building. Students may also email Mrs. Rasche to set up a Zoom meeting.
Please feel free to contact your school’s office and/or counselors if you have any questions and/or concerns about your child’s well-being.
Supt. Dr. Douglas Wood
