Menus for the month of December are below.

The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) released its 2024 Annual Summative Designations for each school in Ball-Chatham Community Unit School District #5. ISBE has also published school report cards regarding progress made during the 2023-24 school year.  Ball Elementary School, Glenwood Elementary School and Glenwood High School all received an Exemplary rating, a designation given to the top-performing 10 percent of schools in the State of Illinois. Chatham Elementary School, Glenwood Intermediate School and Glenwood Middle School all achieved a Commendable designation, the second highest designation. These designations are evidence of the hard work of all BCSD educators. The Annual Summative Designations demonstrate how BCSD schools are excelling across various academic and student success indicators including standards proficiency, growth rates, attendance, graduation rates and participation in the 5essentials survey. BCSD K-5 students displayed t remendous growth in math due to the new curriculum called Ready Math. In addition, BCSD English language arts and math scores have returned to pre-COVID levels.
