Kendall Gibson

Mr. Kendall Gibson, Principal

​Mr. Gibson previously taught math at GMS. He also served as the GHS Freshman Boys Basketball coach, GMS Assistant Football Coach, and GMS Boys Basketball Head Coach.

He graduated from Sesser-Valier High School, Sesser, Illinois in 2010, and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Illinois College in 2014. He completed his graduate studies from the American College of Education in 2020.

About the education field, he says he likes to work with students to help them reach their goals and potential best. He also enjoys working with other educators who have the same passion as he does. 

Kendall is married to Madelyn and together they have two children.

On his own time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching/playing sports, watching different TV series, and traveling to Nashville to spend time with his family.

Mrs. Jackie Creighton, Assistant Principal

Mrs. Creighton brings over 18 years of dedicated service as an educator within the district to their new role as Assistant Principal at Glenwood Intermediate School. Throughout their career, Mrs. Creighton has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to academic excellence, student growth, and fostering a positive school culture.

Having taught seventh and eighth grade Language Arts and History, Mrs. Creighton has developed a well-rounded perspective on curriculum, instruction, and the unique developmental needs of students. Their classroom experience has shaped a leadership style grounded in empathy, collaboration, and high expectations for all learners. During her tenure as a teacher, she served as volleyball coach, basketball coach, team leader, and department coordinator. 

As Assistant Principal, Mrs. Creighton is eager to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families. She is passionate about supporting teachers, promoting inclusion, and enhancing the overall educational experience for every student at GIS. With a focus on continuous improvement, Mrs. Creighton is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment where all members of the school community can thrive.

Mrs. Creighton is originally from Peotone, Illinois. She earned her undergraduate degree from Elmhurst University in 2007 and went on to complete a Master’s in Educational Administration from Eastern Illinois University in 2013. She and her husband, Matt, have two children, Mitchell and Georgia, and a Golden Retriever named Pearl. In her free time, Mrs. Creighton enjoys reading, crafting, and camping. She is also a devoted Chicago White Sox fan. 

Looking ahead, Mrs. Creighton is excited about the opportunity to help shape a bright and successful future for Glenwood Intermediate School—one marked by academic achievement, meaningful connections, and a shared sense of purpose.
