Mrs. Elizabeth Gregurich, Principal

Mrs. Elizabeth Gregurich has been an educator for 30 years. After earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University, Mrs. Gregurich taught fourth grade in Kirkwood, Missouri, and at Riverton Elementary. In 1992, she began her career in the Ball-Chatham School District as a sixth grade language arts teacher. Throughout her years, Mrs. Gregurich has held sixth and eighth grade language arts positions, as well as team leadership, coaching, and mentoring positions. She also led teachers instructionally as the Glenwood Intermediate School Literacy Coach.

 

Mrs. Gregurich earned a Reading and Literacy Master of Arts Degree from Walden University, and then went on to receive her Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership, from Concordia University. Mrs. Gregurich has been Principal at GIS for nine years, appreciating every day as a learning experience, while motivating students to be the best individuals they can be.

 

Mrs. Gregurich and her husband, Chris, have four children, two daughters and two sons who are all graduates of Glenwood High School. Her family and learning are her main hobbies, along with her passion for sports of all levels. Mrs. Gregurich is truly looking forward to another great year of working collaboratively with the community, families, students, and staff at Glenwood Intermediate School to continue the respected traditions of the Ball-Chatham School District.

Mr. Kendall Gibson, Assistant Principal

​Mr. Gibson previously taught math at GMS. He also served as the GHS Freshman Boys Basketball coach, GMS Assistant Football Coach, and GMS Boys Basketball Head Coach.

He graduated from Sesser-Valier High School, Sesser, Illinois in 2010, and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Illinois College in 2014. He completed his graduate studies from the American College of Education in 2020.

About the education field, he says he likes to work with students to help them reach their goals and potential best. He also enjoys working with other educators who have the same passion as he does. 

Kendall is married to Madelyn and together they have one child, Blakely, who is one year old. 

On his own time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching/playing sports, watching different TV series, and traveling to Nashville to spend time with his family.
