This year, a DOUBLE GOOD Popcorn Fundraiser helped us raise money for three worthy local organizations, and our students took the opportunity to learn about these groups along the way.
Titan Fuel feeds hundreds of students in our district, while the Children’s Miracle Network and St. John’s Children’s Hospital are helping local kids in need and Special Olympics Illinois hosts year-round training and events for area (and BCSD5) athletes.
As you can see, sharing our service is a big focus here at GIS. We raised a total of $22,000 in just four days! It was such a joy to watch our leaders present the checks and celebrate how their hard work can help these organizations fulfil their important missions.
